This fall Southwest Airlines will reduce flights from Nashville to seven cities, including Chicago, Orlando and New Orleans.
Southwest represents more than half of the flights into and out of Nashville International Airport. Spokesperson Emily Richard says the discount airline has made the same schedule adjustment in August and September for the last two years.
“These are routine, seasonal changes that happen nearly every fall, coming off the busy summer season for airlines. And Southwest, like many airlines, reduces its schedule going into the fall season.”
At least one flight a day will remain to the seven cities, except for Providence, Rhode Island. The other destinations affected are Baltimore, Phoenix and San Diego.
