Man on Death Row Has Two Weeks toRespond to Motion to Set Execution Date

A man on death row has two weeks to answer the state’s motion to set his execution date.

Stephen Michael West was convicted in 1987 of kidnapping, rape and murder.

The state says because West has finished a three-stage appeal process, it’s time to set his execution date. Now the state supreme court has given West until May 24 to respond.
