The auto auction company Manheim has completed layoffs after merging two facilities in the Nashville area. According to data submitted to the state, Manheim laid off 127 people from its long-time offices on Lebanon Pike.
The company now employs 435 people in Nashville. General Manager Sam Chaple says the layoffs stem from declining demand for used cars and a shift to online sales.
This isn’t the first time Manheim has consolidated its Tennessee operations. In 2002, the company closed its site in Murfreesboro.
