Nissan and Skanska USA Building Incorporated are taking steps to giving minority, woman-owned, and small businesses equal access to building projects surrounding Nissan’s new Cool Springs headquarters.
Two to three hundred businesses from Middle Tennessee are expect to attend Friday’s pre-construction meeting.
Skanska Director of Business Development, Mendy Mazzo, says throughout the process, they are encouraging minority, woman-owned, and small businesses to bid for projects.
“For this particular meeting we are focusing mainly on construction related services. We will have meetings later in the process to look at different supplier opportunities.”
Nissan Motor Corporation unveiled the design for their new headquarters last week. Nissan is in the process of relocating its headquarters from California to Middle Tennessee.
