Metro Police continue to await the results of ballistics and gun shot residue testing before classifying the death of former Titans quarterback Steve McNair’s girlfriend.
Both McNair and Sahel Kazemi were found shot to death in a downtown Nashville condo Saturday afternoon by the man who co-rented the unit with McNair.
Metro Police spokesman Don Aaron says more than 40-minutes passed before anyone called for help.
“Suffice it to say we are concerned about the time that elapsed between the discovery of the bodies and the time the 911 call was made.”
But the case has all the makings of a murder-suicide. McNair was shot four times. Police have already classified this as a homicide. Kazemi was shot once in the head, and a pistol was found under her body. Investigators have now revealed the 20-year-old woman had purchased the firearm from a private individual two days before the murder.
Kazemi’s ex-boyfriend has also been interviewed by detectives and released.
