More H1N1 vaccine shots are available in Metro Davidson County today.
The Health Department has continuously run out of the shot form of the vaccine. As a result, it’s still only offered to at risk groups: pregnant women, children aged 6 months to 4 years old, children aged 5-18 who have medical conditions that put them at a higher risk of complications from the flu, and caregivers and household contacts of infants under 6 months.
The H1N1 vaccine in the form of a nasal mist is available to those aged 2 – 49 who are not pregnant and who do not have underlying medical conditions.
The free H1N1 vaccine clinic is located at 311 23rd Avenue North. It’s open 7 am – 4:30 pm, or as long as supplies last.
The state maintains an online list of health departments that have H1N1 vaccine available. The list is updated daily.
