Voters in Metro Nashville ousted only one incumbent in yesterday’s county primary election.
Current clerk for Juvenile Court Vic Lineweaver lost the Democratic nomination to David Smith. Eric Crafton won the Republican nomination, and the two will face off in August.
Other incumbents, such as Criminal Court Clerk David Torrence and Circuit Court Clerk Richard Rooker, easily won a chance at another term.
Offices that were uncontested included public defender, county sheriff, county clerk, and and county trustee.
