Home sales and prices in the Nashville area remained steady in November. While both figures are higher than they were a year ago, the prices for condominiums remain stagnant.
Librarian Jen Williams has been married for about two months. She and her new husband are on the hunt for a three-bedroom home.
“Right now, our big question has been about Williamson versus Davidson,” she says. “We prefer Davidson; everything we like to do is up here. He works closer to Cool Springs and the property tax difference is a big deal.”
But first, Williams will need to sell her Green Hills condo. While home prices have risen over the last year, the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors says the average price for condominiums has fallen and now hovers around $150,000
GNAR says there have already been more houses sold this year than all of 2012. But the monthly pace has slowed. 2,287 homes were sold in November.
