More than 59-percent of TV’s in Nashville tuned in to last night’s Presidential debate at Belmont University. Per TV set, Nashville had the highest rating in the country.
Memphis was second in the Nielsen ratings with a 55-percent share, followed closely by Baltimore. The average for the top 55 markets was 42-percent.
It wasn’t just the locally-hosted debate that had Nashvillians glued to their TV’s. The Nashville market has been in the top five cities for the first presidential debate and last week’s vice presidential match up. Memphis has also placed consistently high. It had the second highest ratings for the previous debate at Ole Miss.
