Two of Nashville’s artist-designed bike racks have won national awards.

Microphone Rack, designed by Nashvillians Franne Lee, Keith Harmon and Mac Hill
One, in the Music Row neighborhood, looks like a giant microphone. The other is in the form of huge padlocks emerging from the sidewalk. It’s downtown in Church Street Park.

Emerge, by Memphis-based artist Matt Young
Each year, the Public Art Network’s Year in Review chooses up to fifty examples of public art for its honors. This year, the Nashville bike racks were the only pieces chosen from the Southeast.
