A new poll conducted by Middle Tennessee State University shows strong support for Republican Presidential candidate John McCain in Tennessee.
MTSU surveyed 577 people 18 and older by phone February 11-23. The results show that more people in Tennesse would vote for McCain in a hypothetical matchup with both democratic presidential candidates, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. When pitted against Obama, 50% of those surveyed picked McCain while 39% picked Obama. When pitted against Clinton, 45% picked McCain, while 38% chose Clinton.
