Nissan, GM and Ford Have Good January Sales Figures

January sales figures were strong for three automobile companies with local ties.

Last month, Franklin-based Nissan North America sold 16% more vehicles than in January of last year. The Sentra and Maxima sedans and Armada SUV sold especially well. The company’s luxury brand, Infiniti, continued to lag behind previous years’ results.

Sales for General Motors rose 14% higher than last year, while Ford saw a 25% jump up.
