Franklin-based Nissan’s sales were up nearly 30 percent in June compared to a year ago. The company sold close to 22 thousand of its popular Altima model, which is made in Smyrna.
Nissan’s truck and SUV lineup also jumped compared to last year, as low gas prices have been a boon to new car sales. At the same time, Nissan’s all-electric LEAF found sales down almost 70 percent compared to last June.
