Franklin-based Nissan North America says its sales were up more than 16 percent in February, compared to a year ago. But there was a sharp decrease in demand for some Nissan vehicles, including one of its trucks.

Nissan has been rolling out a raft of new models. But its Titan pickup hasn’t been updated in over a decade. Sales of the truck were down more than 31 percent in February, compared to last year. The automaker plans to unveil an all-new Titan in 2015, with a full-size cab and a more powerful engine.

Elsewhere, Volkswagen sold nearly 7,000 of its Chattanooga-built Passat sedans in Feburary. That’s a decrease of almost seven percent. Chevrolet sold more than 21,000 of its Spring Hill-made Equinox SUV last month, a four and a half percent increase from 2013.
