Emergency officials confirm one fatality from the crash of a private aircraft at Nashville International Airport. The single engine Cessna was involved in an accident on Runway 2 Center Tuesday morning.
The FAA is on the scene as well as an accident investigator from the NTSB. Presumably, they will be looking to see if weather was a possible factor since the area was under a thick layer of fog.
Runway 2C remains closed, according to an airport spokesperson. The other three runways are open and operating, and there are no delays.
