Tennessee’s Senators remain unsatisfied with the Obama Administration’s report on the involvement in Libya.
Jim Hilgen reports from Washington.
One day into reviewing President Obama’s report on Libyan operations Senator Bob Corker says he’s not buying it.
“To send over an unclassified document which states what we’re doing in Libya, and to say that that’s not hostilities is completely bizarre.”
Corker says members of the Senate and the House have been given access to classified information. He looks forward to reviewing that to see if his concerns are addressed. Fellow Republican Lamar Alexander says he’s withholding judgment until he can speak with General Petraeus.
“I want to ask him what he thinks about Libya and Afghanistan and I want to hear the same thing from Secretary Gates.”
Senator Corker says a hearing is in the works to examine the administration’s interpretation of what it considers “hostilities.”
