The group opposing an English-only charter amendment up for a vote this month in Nashville has more than $100,000 left to spend before Election Day.
Nashville for All of Us has raised more than $280,000 throughout its campaign to beat the proposal led by Metro Councilman Eric Crafton. The group released fundraising details ahead of the Jan. 22 election. The list of donors includes big corporate names and individuals.
HCA gave $50,000 to the effort. So did Steve Turner. $10,000 contributions came from Turner’s brother Cal, Vanderbilt, Gaylord, Tom Cigarran, Ingram Industries and law firm Waller Lansden.
The group has spent $42,000 on ads and $15,000 on research and polling.
The English-First group, which is campaigning in support of the amendment, has not yet released its list of donors.
