Ron Paul supporters in Tennessee say they never expected him to win. The Republican presidential candidate now says he’s done spending money on the campaign.
Justin Mundie of Nashville says he voted for Paul during the Tennessee primary, just as he did four years ago.
“In the first campaign, I thought he had a legitimate chance of doing something, and obviously that didn’t happen. I don’t think this campaign was ever about him winning the presidency. I don’t think it’s about Ron Paul.”
Mundie says the campaign is about Paul’s ideals of truly limited government.
The favorite of libertarians and Tea Partiers won nearly 10-percent of the vote in Tennessee’s GOP contest.
