Pretty Products Closing Mount Pleasant Factory

A Maury County auto parts supplier is closing its doors, leaving 119 people without jobs.

Pretty Products makes floor mats for cars. Until recently, the company had four factories in three states, including one in Mount Pleasant. Last year, new owners shut down two plants in Ohio, saying that work would move to an expanded facility here. The expansion never happened. In October, the company laid off 65 workers, citing the downturn in the auto industry. Now, a report from the state’s Labor Department shows that the plant will shut down completely in January. All together, that makes for about 190 jobs lost.
