We returned to the Belcourt Theatre to dive deeper into “Supermajority,” the four-part series from NPR’s Embedded. Reporter and host Meribah Knight led a conversation with mothers impacted by the 2023 shooting at The Covenant School: Melissa Alexander, Mary Joyce, and Sarah Shoop-Neumann.
Nearly 200 guests attended to hear what Meribah and the Covenant Moms have accomplished since the podcast ended, how the work has changed them, and what they’ve discovered about democracy. The conversation kicked off with a welcome from WPLN’s LaTonya Turner and featured clips from the podcast and questions from the audience.
