Tennessee’s Sixth Congressional District has reelected Republican John Rose for another two years.
Rose had faced a challenge from disability rights advocate Lore Bergman, who campaigned on affordable housing, abortion access and universal healthcare.
Rose opposes the right to an abortion. He campaigned on repealing Obamacare and creating a stricter vetting process for welfare recipients. Both candidates have said their platforms were informed by their Christian faith.
Rose gained national attention this summer after his son made a cameo during Rose’s speech on the House floor.
