Middle Tennessee State University is headed towards another year of record enrollment, assuming early figures hold true.
Classes began yesterday on the Murfreesboro campus. So far, nearly 24-thousand students are signed up, two percent more than this time last year. That’s despite declines in the number of freshman and new students. MTSU officials say the university is seeing an increased number of people who left the school come back to work on their degrees again. They say that’s to be expected when unemployment rates go up.
