Nearly three-fourths of the 28-thousand soldiers at Fort Campbell are currently deployed to Iraq. That leaves roughly 40-thousand spouses and kids at home to deal with the absence. The base’s schools have stepped in to ease the transition, even when parents and kids don’t know it. WPLN’s Blake Farmer has this report from Fort Campbell.
