UPDATED:Tonight’s vote has now been postponed.
EARLIER:
A few members of Tennessee’s Congressional delegation have now announced how they’ll vote on House Speaker John Boehner’s debt reduction plan.
Brentwood Republican Marsha Blackburn said on her website that she will vote “yes” to the bill. Saying in a statement it isn’t perfect, Blackburn says she supports it because it doesn’t raise taxes and “cuts spending more than any increase in the debt ceiling.”
The Washington Newspaper The Hill is also listing freshman Republicans Stephen Fincher and Diane Black as “yes” votes. Officials with Congressman Chuck Fleischman’s office say he’ll vote for the measure as well, while Nashville Democrat Jim Cooper has announced he’s against it.
Boehner’s bill is expected to be put to a vote this evening. The plan is being viewed as a referendum on Boehner’s control of his party in the House.
