The Tennessee Supreme Court has launched a website meant to help people with civil legal issues who can’t afford an attorney.
“All you have to do is look around, and you see a lot of people in that courtroom who are there without lawyers.”
That’s Nashville attorney John Blankenship talking in a video produced for the site, which includes downloadable court forms, tips for representing yourself and contact information to get free legal services.
The Supreme Court has been making a big pro bono push among lawyers. It formed the Access to Justice Commission in 2009, which is responsible for the new website.
