Neil Stinson had a complicated relationship with his mother, who died five years ago from health complications related to her alcoholism. She was loving but often absent while he was growing up. And that’s what he talked about when he was interviewed by his wife, Lauren, in the StoryCorps booth at Nashville Public Radio.
