19-year-old Taylor Swift made history Thursday night at the Country Music Association awards show.
Taylor Swift is the youngest-ever CMA Entertainer of the Year. She’s also the first woman to win in 10 years. In addition, the teenage star won the CMA Album of the Year for her five-time platinum release titled Fearless.
Swift told the crowd at Nashville’s Sommet Center and a live TV audience on ABC the album is her diary. So, she said, “thank you for saying you like my diary.”
Brad Paisley won male vocalist of the year for the third time in a row. And the winner of the CMA’s new artist of the year is new to country music but not new to fans. Former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker thanked the Country Music Association for taking a chance on “a pop singer from Charleston.”
