Task Force Named to Stabilize Lottery Scholarships

A committee has been named to manage a decline in scholarship revenue from the Tennessee Lottery.

Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey appointed members to the Senate Lottery Stabilization Task Force. They include leaders of the state Senate, the state’s top finance officials and university system presidents, including the head of the association representing private colleges.

The panel is charged with reviewing policies and making recommendations by December 1st to ensure the long-term viability of the HOPE scholarship program, which has had to dip into lottery reserves in recent years.
