The heat wave that has gripped most of Tennessee continues Thursday.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for middle Tennessee, though it will be hotter in counties from Montgomery to Giles. This includes Davidson County, where heat index values are expected be as high as 110. Weather officials say this is the most intense heat wave in three years.
Metro Nashville officials say if people without air conditioning can’t get to a Red Cross cooling shelter, it’s best to go to one of the Nashville’s libraries, recreation centers, or the Nashville Farmers Market.
