Tennessee’s U.S. Senators Vote “No” On Financial Regulations Bill

Tennessee Republicans Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker voted against the financial regulations bill that passed Thursday in the U.S. Senate.

In a statement, Alexander titled the bill a “Main Street takeover” – he says it will make it harder and more expensive to get credit and create jobs.

Senator Corker, who once was helping to negotiate the bill, called it a “net negative for the American public.”

Three Republicans joined Democrats to pass the bill.
