The Titans handed the Jaguars just their second win of the season Sunday in a 24-19 loss.
Coach Mike Munchak – whose team falls to 4-and-7 – says the Titans didn’t care that the Jaguars have one of the worst records in the NFL.
“The records meant nothing. We knew that coming in. By no means did we take anything for granted. By no means did we take anyone lightly. We’re not good enough to do that. So we came down here and played hard and just didn’t make plays.”
The Titans had seven sacks and an interception. But until the fourth quarter, Tennessee was only able to put field goals on the board. After getting within striking distance, quarterback Jake Locker threw a late interception.
Playoff hopes are fading. Linebacker Zach Brown says it’s hard to think about the post season after dropping a game that was supposed to be a win.
