Tuning a concert hall is a lot like playing a violin well – it’s not enough to hit the right notes. The sound must have clarity and resonance and warmth. Which is why the acousticians who designed the new concert hall at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center have been dashing from seat to seat since last week, making sure the hall’s sound is as perfect as promised.
