Unemployment rates dropped last month in every one of Tennessee’s 95 counties. Hamblen County showed the most improvement; its April jobless figure of 5.8% is a drop of 3.4% compared to the rate for March.
While the change for Williamson was a much less dramatic 1.5%, the county posted the lowest jobless rate in the state in April: 3.9% Nashville and Knoxville- both were at 4.7%–tied for the lowest rate among the state’s major cities.
