Vice President Biden in Nashville for Fundraiser

Vice President Joe Biden will be in Nashville today. He’ll be attending a fundraiser for President Obama’s re-election campaign.

The exact location of the fundraiser hasn’t been disclosed. Metro Police and the Secret Service will only say it’s being held at a private residence.

Biden’s visit means a number of roads will be closed, including:
• I-40 (airport area)
• I-24 in the area of I-440
• I-440
• I-65 south
• Old Hickory Boulevard west of I-65 in the Brentwood area
• Hillsboro Road

Metro Police says roads should re open in time for afternoon rush hour.

This isn’t the first fundraising visit to Middle Tennessee from the top of the Democratic ticket. Last month, first lady Michelle Obama attended a fundraising luncheon in Downtown Nashville
