State officials lifted the mandatory water restrictions for some middle Tennessee customers today.
Residents in the Harpeth Valley Utilities District no longer have to limit their water use. That affects parts of Bellevue in Davidson County, the cities of Brentwood, Fairview, and Franklin.
The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation lifted the emergency order Tuesday. HVUD General Manager issued a statement, saying, “We want to extend our deepest thanks to all our customers for their tremendous efforts to conserve water during the last few days in the aftermath of the terrible floods that have stricken our community. Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to those who have suffered so greatly from this tragedy, especially those who have lost loved ones or seen their homes and other property destroyed.”
