Historic Legislative Majority for Republicans

Wheel Tax Fails in Sumner County

A wheel tax hike to fund schools in Sumner County failed overwhelmingly. More than 60 percent of voters were against the $25 tax increase, even after a budget stalemate led to a two-week delay in the opening of schools this year.

TN Democrats Find Bright Spots in Nashville

The biggest gathering of Democrats in Nashville last night was at Loews Vanderbilt Hotel – a celebration for Rep. Jim Cooper’s all-but certain re-election. Democrats primarily had to look to national politics to find something to cheer about.

High Provisional Ballot Dependence in Davidson County
