The 16-year-old was a daughter, sister and niece. She played soccer and hoped to one day become a doctor. She lost her life on Wednesday after a shooting at Antioch High School in Nashville.

Yesterday, a 17-year-old Antioch High School student shot two other students and then himself. The assailant and one of the other students died. Another was treated at an area hospital and has been released. This is the second time in two years that there’s been a fatal school shooting in Nashville.

Antioch High School will be closed for the rest of the week, with Metro Schools providing resources, meals and grief counseling at the Southeast Community Center.
