Nashville Oversight Group Considering Its Own Investigation Into February In-Custody Death

Nashville’s Community Oversight Board wants to investigate the death of a man who was arrested in February. The officers who arrested Gabriel Hines have been accused of using physical force. The Metro Nashville Police Department says an internal investigation cleared them of wrongdoing. But the city’s new police oversight group still has questions.

In Announcing Retirement, Nashville DA Endorses Possible Successor

Torry Johnson has endorsed one of the top prosecutors in his office to succeed him as Davidson County District Attorney. Rob McGuire graduated from Vanderbilt Law School in 2001 and went straight to work as an assistant DA.
