Tennessee Funding Board approves smaller budget for the upcoming fiscal year

Tennessee officials approved a budget that’s a little lower than last year’s, citing a need to be cautious due to a slight decrease in revenue projections. However, some believe that dip is actually a sign of how well the state government has managed the budget throughout the pandemic.

Covenant School parents criticize Tennessee Senate for adjourning early

Parents of the Covenant School are urging the Tennessee legislature to pass two bills. One would keep child autopsies private. “We can all fill in the blanks of what a high-capacity rifle can do to a small body,” says Mary Joyce. Her 9-year-old daughter lived through the Covenant School attack.
