Appeals court spikes Tennessee’s bid to get family planning dollars despite abortion rule

A federal appeals court has shot down Tennessee’s attempt to collect millions of dollars in family planning funds without complying with federal rules requiring clinics to provide abortion referrals due to its current ban on the procedure.

Nashville Catholic Institutions Sue Over “Contraception Mandate”

Catholic institutions in Middle Tennessee are joining dozens of others around the country and suing the Obama Administration. The Dioceses of Nashville, Catholic Charities of Tennessee, Aquinas College and others have filed a lawsuit in federal court.
