Another Washout For Whites Creek As Harvey Dumps On Middle Tennessee

Listen Residents along Whites Creek in Bordeaux returned to their North Nashville homes Friday morning after evacuating overnight. The remnants of Hurricane Harvey dumped enough water locally to propel the creek into flood stage. The low-lying neighborhood has become accustomed to fleeing floodwaters.

Tennessee Emergency Officials Send Help To Texas, But Keep A Close Eye On The Weather Here

Listen Tennesseans are answering the call for help in rescuing people from the floodwaters caused by Hurricane Harvey. Eight water rescue teams left Nashville Wednesday for the Texas coast. But Tennessee officials are considering the possibility that rescuers could also be needed closer to home.

Listen Catastrophic flooding in Houston has Nashville officials thinking about their own flood protection. The Metro Council is scheduling a meeting for next month to revisit building a floodwall system.

Red Cross Training Middle Tennesseans To Help In Texas
