Metro employees are getting a cost of living adjustment. Many city workers say it isn’t enough to live on in Nashville.

The mayor’s new proposed budget includes an across-the-board 4% cost of living adjustment for all Metro employees, who have historically been underpaid. However, many city employees say this adjustment would not be enough to keep up with the rising cost of living in Nashville.

Gov. Lee’s bill to raise teacher pay includes a rule that chips away at labor organizing

Teacher raises, tax cuts, Titans dome are in Tennessee’s $53 billion budget. Here’s some of what didn’t make the cut.

Metro School Officials Call For Competitive Teacher Salaries And More Classroom Support

Nashville leaders are calling on state lawmakers to increase education funding.  A resolution adopted by the Metro school board Tuesday night says the district needs more money to retain teachers.
