A Nashville man is the first in Tennessee to die this year from West Nile Virus. The 70 year old died from the mosquito-borne illness last week. His name hasn’t been released, but the health department says he suffered from an ‘underlying health condition’ in addition to West Nile.
Antioch Resident Infected With West Nile
Health officials are now reporting they’ve found the first human case of West Nile virus in Davidson County. Infected mosquitos were found in Goodlettsville, Hermitage and Antioch over the summer. The person with West Nile lives in Antioch, but no other details are being released at this time.
