Earlier this month, WPLN toured Nashville with outgoing Mayor Bill Purcell, who surveyed the recent boom of downtown development projects. The business and development community says the main way for a mayor to push economic development is to be the chief salesperson for the city, but encouraging a vibrant businesses community is a little more complicated.
