A little-known Nashville musician often found busking in and around Lower Broadway has risen to fame in Sweden. His name is Douglas Seegers. After a Swedish TV production crew spotted him playing a few of his tuneful ballads, he was featured on the popular Swedish show Jill’s Veranda, and his Scandinavian acclaim grew from there.
We learned of Seegers’s rise to fame when we heard this story on PRI’s syndicated program The World:

I actually spotted Seegers strumming holiday songs outside of a Goodwill before Christmas. His presence and style are really spellbinding. He’s quite good, though he does stumble a bit at the start of this iPhone video. Sorry it’s so short:
