Out, About: Bored? Get board instead.

Rachel Iacovone

January 19, 2024

One of my most frequent haunts whenever the weather turns frigid is Game Point, the board game cafe in the Five Points neighborhood of East. I know, I know. Pitching games with such fervor is really Millennial of me.

Rachel Iacovone

December 8, 2023

My mom called me this week to excitedly tell me about the fairgrounds back home being converted into “one of those drive-thru light displays like the one you took me to in Tennessee.” She was referring to the Dancing Lights of Christmas out in Lebanon, which we drove through with Starbucks coconut milk hot chocolates back in 2019.

I’ve never met an independent bookstore I didn’t like, but visiting ones in other cities makes me appreciate the magic we have here in Nashville.
