Tennessee National Guard Sends Battalion to Border

The Tennessee National Guard is going to send 500 National Guard troops to help control the Arizona border with Mexico.  The announcement by Governor Phil Bredesen yesterday, dramatically increases the number of troops he said the state could spare for the job.  Originally, he said Tennessee would offer 100 National Guardsmen for the border patrol.  […]

Bob Corker

Twelve years ago, Bob Corker ran for the U-S Senate against Bill Frist. The heart-surgeon won easily in that primary election. Now Frist is choosing not to run for re-election to the Senate, opening the door again for a Corker campaign. The former Chattanooga mayor became a declared candidate early on, building a massive campaign chest. But in a primary that’s become a race to be “the most conservative candidate”, opponents Van Hilleary and Ed Bryant have been decrying Corker as too liberal for the job.

His newest album, “š”Columbus and the Colossal Mistake,” is notable for its songwriting and for the samples of his art photography tucked into the CD’s sleeve. The album is earning strong reviews, and Delevante’s photos now have a stage of their own.
