Haslam Assures VW Workforce ‘Tennessee Is Not Going Anywhere’

Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam visited Volkswagen’s plant in Chattanooga Wednesday during a shift change to reassure workers. He later told reporters he could understand if some of the 1,500 employees have doubts about their jobs following VW’s global emissions cheating scandal.

Ft. Campbell IDs Soldier Killed In Training Exercise

Pfc. Kevin Rodriguez is the 22-year-old infantryman who was shot during a live-fire exercise at Fort Campbell, the post announced Wednesday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital on post Tuesday morning.

What’s More Rare Than A Cougar Sighting in Tennessee? A Photograph of One, Says TWRA

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency says there’s been a possible cougar sighting in the northwest part of the state. “We occasionally get reports of sightings.  But very rarely, if ever, do we get any photographic evidence or find any remains or anything like that,” said TWRA spokesman Don King.
