Cooper Discusses Possibilities for Health Care Reform

Nashville Congressman Jim Cooper is not on any of the committees dealing directly with health care reform this summer. But he teaches health care policy at Vanderbilt University and has become known as some-what of an expert.

“I do my homework. That’s part of being a nerd. I’ve read all of these articles. You know, often times in a meeting, they’ll ignore me, but when a hard question comes up, they’ll look at me and say, ‘Cooper, what’s the answer?’ [laughs].”

WPLN’s Christine Buttorff sat down with Congressman Cooper to talk about the health care proposal that he’s supporting.
