Metro Council members were unable to come to any agreement last night, on whether to ban business owners from displaying goods in front of their stores.
Bill sponsor Michael Craddock says outdoor displays can be an eyesore. Other council members felt the proposal would hurt business owners and voted to defer the bill indefinitely.
Council members also approved a refinancing agreement for a 59-million dollar bond issuance that raised money to build capital projects like the Titan’s Stadium. The city will for the first time, borrow money through the Tennessee Municipal Bond Fund. The Council also approved on first reading a bill banning alcohol from after hours clubs.
